The Convento dell’Annunciata was founded in 1499 by the Order of the Friar Servants of Mary, who had been producing wine since 1500 on a small plot of almost 6 hectares. The fresco by Romanino, The Annunciation, sums up the essence of this place devoted to the spirit and history of Franciacorta.
The particular geological formation, geographical position and climate create an exceptional combination that favours wine production and other crops such as fig and almond trees. Bellavista has been looking after and managing the ancient Chardonnay vineyard since 1990.
