Growing awareness of farming practice and defence sustainability has, over the years, made the need for objective information and data even more urgent, whatever the farming model used (integrated or organic) as a firm basis for technical decisions and defence strategies.
In this context, the technical office has, over the years, been honing a support service designed essentially to monitor the presence of the main pests in Franciacorta in such a way as to facilitate firms in their defence strategy decisions. The service currently focuses primarily on monitoring grapevine moths, scale insects and leafhoppers.
The project was developed in conjunction with Agrea, which helps the technical office to identify the biological cycle time frames of the various pathogens and pests as the season progresses, supplying technical information to wineries.
