Who says that a wine region isn’t a good match for children, too? There are many child-friendly experiences in Franciacorta, and creating an itinerary the entire family can enjoy together is a breeze. The ideal place to stay is undoubtedly an agritourism farmhouse surrounded by nature, where you can enjoy the silence of nature, have space for playing outdoors and try genuine zero-kilometre products.
On your arrival, after some relaxation in the hotel, plan a bike tour through the vineyards accompanied by a guide or the more adventurous of you can explore dirt roads and paths in total autonomy. You can decide to interrupt the tour by stopping off at a winery for a visit, where the children can rest and the adults can enjoy a little wine-tasting. After returning from the bike tour, you can end the day with dinner at the agritourism, sampling the chef’s fare accompanied by local wines.
The following day you can visit one of the farms in the area holding educational classes, where people can explore rural traditions, flavours and the food cycle and see lots of animals, learning about conscious consumption and respect for the environment. After lunch on the property, you can go to a farmstead for a dairy workshop where you can discover and experience first-hand how fresh cheese, yoghurt and other delicious foods are made, and stock up before returning home.
