This is Cascina Clarabella’s farm restaurant, an atmospheric place surrounded by vineyards and a wooded park. Situated in the municipality of Corte Franca, a stone’s throw from Lake Iseo, it is appreciated for its excellent local cuisine and the beauty of the natural environment; it is also the perfect location for celebrating weddings and anniversaries.
The cuisine adopts all the “slow” principles: zero-mile ingredients, short supply chain, quality raw materials, local flavours. The dishes make the most of Clarabella’s produce: oil, vegetables from the garden, as well as lake and river fish from Clarabella Agroittica (lake fishing business). Agone, char, freshwater whitefish and trout are the stars of tasty, refined gourmet recipes, which offer an array of lake flavours.
The wine list features the winery’s organic wines: 5 Franciacorta and the “Cesare Cantù” Curtefranca, together with some selected local labels.
In the summer, guests can eat under the portico and in the gardens overlooking the vineyard. This farm-restaurant also offers art exhibitions, aperitifs with music and cultural initiatives.
The restaurant – like the winery’s finest wine – takes its name from Law 180, better known as Basaglia Law, which revolutionised the approach to mental health. The philosophy behind all Clarabella’s activities is seen in both the kitchen and dining room: to give job opportunities to vulnerable men and women.
