The Franciacorta-in-the-Winery Festival is back, an exceptional appointment for spending a weekend discovering the places where Franciacorta is created. Open wineries, tasty gastronomic delights, fascinating cultural and sports initiatives. Two back-to-back weekends for getting lost in the magical atmosphere of Franciacorta where a unique wine comes into being amongst monasteries, castles and historic manor homes surrounded by vineyards.
The 65 participating wineries will be open during the two weekends and will hold traditional guided tours with tastings and special events such as tours in the vineyards, picnics between the rows, bike rides, etc. The proposals will be of the same level for both weekends to allow visitors to find the same variety and quality of proposals on both weekends.
Now in its thirteenth edition, the festival offers engaging events and a wide variety of initiatives devoted to entertainment, enogastronomy and cultural explorations. This event is perfect for everyone: from wine lovers, who can participate in themed tastings, to lovers of fine food, who will enjoy the delicious proposals of local restaurateurs and chefs, embracing tradition and innovation. Ample space will be devoted to sports enthusiasts, who can venture through the vineyards and hills trekking and travelling along itineraries on foot, by bicycle or horseback, as well as families who can have a great time with fun initiatives and picnics in nature. There is no better chance for getting lost amongst the countless historical sights, castles, monasteries and museums that dot the Franciacorta route where art lovers will be spoilt for choice amidst picturesque villages, abbeys and mansions nestled in greenery.
An outstanding event, which attracts more and more visitors from all over Italy, for which customised tourist packages have been designed with proposals for weekend stays in a myriad of combinations with wineries, farmhouse stays, hotels, restaurants and trattorias.
The key meeting point will obviously be the wineries, which have created original and creative events for their guests. Visits must be booked in advance by contacting the wineries directly.
After two years of stop due to the pandemic, the bus tours are also back with this edition. The tours last about three hours (€ 5 per person for the bus and guide service), leaving from Rovato and stopping by some producers, where a tour guide tells about the territory. They are ideal for those visiting Franciacorta for the first time or for those who want to visit the area comfortably.
