The municipality of Cazzago San Martino is situated in an area that is partly flat, typical of the Upper Po plain, and partly hilly, in the Franciacorta area.
Wineries producing Franciacorta DOCG are found in the hillside villages of Calino and Bornato. There are also working farms in the flat area, growing cereals, in particular maize.
The patron saint’s day, the Sunday after Easter, is dedicated to St Francis of Paola.
