The municipality of Erbusco is situated at the north-eastern end of Monte Orfano, between the Po Valley and the catchment area of the River Oglio.
Erbusco features prominently in the food and wine sector and is home to the headquarters of the Consorzio per la Tutela del Franciacorta (Consortium for the Protection of Franciacorta) and the Strada del Vino Franciacorta (Franciacorta Wine Route).
