The municipality of Cologne is located on the left-hand side of the River Oglio, at the foot of Monte Orfano, and occupies a mainly flat area. After the early settlements of the Gallic Cenomani tribe, subsequent Roman occupations turned the area into a farming community.
The old town is encircled by nature and green areas extend into the town.
In addition to its commitment to the agricultural sector, Cologne is today involved in the development of craft activities and the conservation of works and architecture from various periods.
