Franciacorta participated in Expo Milano 2015 as “Official Sparkling Wine” with an exclusive Wine Bar entirely managed by Lanzani Bottega & Bistrot, a passionate representative of Italian gastronomy, in particular that of the Lombardy and Brescia areas. In the complex, designed and built with sustainability criteria by the Falconi architectural firm, the general public was able to taste 5 categories of Franciacorta (Brut, Satèn, Rosé, Millesimato, Riserva) from 87 wineries. As a food pairing, refined products were offered such as Calvisius Caviar, the prestigious brand belonging to Agro Ittica Lombarda, an Italian company and international leader in caviar production and distribution, which was a partner in the Franciacorta Wine Bar. Visitors were also able to deepen their knowledge about Franciacorta through instructional videos and reserved meetings inside that very Wine Bar.
Franciacorta was also present in the Lombardy Pavilion to once more promote the union between a wine and its homeland.
With more than 145,000 visitors to the Wine Bar, no less than 21,000 bottles uncorked and almost 1.5 million euros in sales, Franciacorta concluded a long and passionate journey to introduce itself to different cultures, nationalities, regional and social backgrounds, with the utmost satisfaction.
