The Borgo del Maglio di Ome consists of a nucleus of rural buildings of great historical and cultural value. Inside the walls, the complex houses the Maglio Averoldi museum (Maglio meaning trip hammer) and the Pietro Malossi House Museum.
The Maglio Averoldi represents the last vestige of the ancient art of bruzafèr, which is a technique of working iron to produce tools and furnishing items. The Maglio houses all the equipment and many of the works of the master forger Andrea Averoldi, who ceased operating in 1984.
The House Museum houses valuable antiques donated by Pietro Malossi through the Malossi Foundation: paintings, furniture, drawings and a fine selection of firearms and sidearms.
