Clarabella, founded in 2002, is a winery that covers 13 hectares and produces 80,000 bottles a year. Its most popular wines are 5 Franciacorta DOCG: Brut, Satèn, Èssenza, Dosaggio Zero and the vintage Rosé “Annalisa Faifer” and “180” Dosaggio Zero. In addition to wine production and the winery, Clarabella has opened up to various other activities, such as Agroittica, a fish processing facility, an agritourism bed and breakfast, an oil mill and a farm restaurant.
Clarabella is a unique winery in Franciacorta, a small business that is used as a model in Italy and around the world because it successfully pursues economic activity but also serves to do good. Its vineyards have poles painted blue, like Marco Cavallo, the horse that has become a symbol of psychiatric reform, made by the patients in Trieste to celebrate their new-found freedom. The winery offers work opportunities to men and women with mental disabilities, with everyone making a contribution.
The winery’s ethical commitment is never displayed, not even on the label. The hallmark is quality and this is the reason why customers appreciate Clarabella wines.
