Ronco Calino is located in an extraordinary corner of Franciacorta, sheltered by the hill on which pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli wanted to build his home.
This oasis, surrounded by 10 hectares of organic vineyards and immersed in the sounds and colours of nature, was in 1996 a place of inspiration for Paolo Radici, a man of industry in love with wine.
Below the residence is the wine cellar, where time seems to slow down. Care, rigour and the ability to wait are the prerequisites for creating Franciacorta wines that have authenticity, elegance and longevity as their stylistic hallmarks. Chardonnay dominates the varieties grown, but it is Pinot Noir that finds its chosen home. With the exception of the Satèn, this magnificent grape is used in the cuvée of all the Franciacorta wines in the collection, which at Ronco Calino are aged on the lees for at least one year longer than required by the “Disciplinare”. Very little or no sugar is added so that the wine’s true personality can emerge.
The same attention is paid to hospitality: Ronco Calino is a haven for wine tourists, who are accommodated in rooms with a contemporary, elegant feel, to be discovered after a guided tour of the underground wine cellar.
