Villa Franciacorta is located in the municipality of Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Borgo Villa. Since 1978, the production of only Franciacorta Millesimati wine, made exclusively from estate-grown grapes, has been the hallmark of the philosophy of the Bianchi family and the Villa Franciacorta estate. The Villa estate covers a total of 100 hectares, of which only 38 are planted with vines, 28 of which in a single body around the village of the same name.
In 1960, the Bianchi family began work on the restoration of the medieval hamlet, which over the last few decades has been returned to its former glory.
This work involved the extension of the wine cellar, completely underground, the renovation of the exquisite manor house and the restoration of the two rural dwellings with courtyards, which today house a charming agritourism farm. An analysis of the land on which Villa Franciacorta stands revealed the marine origin of these soils. The great heterogeneity found makes it possible to differentiate between various grapes and musts with quite different organoleptic characteristics. Respect for nature, tradition and quality are the fundamental factors that characterise the company’s business and production choices. The use of organic and natural substances for the management of the vineyard, the care and respect for the surrounding environment and the restoration of the old hamlet are concrete examples of a philosophy of life in which the owners of the farm believe blindly.
