The Gozio family has a very long history in Franciacorta in the world of distillation. After selling the Distillerie brand, a branch of the fifth generation of the family, headed by Sabrina, began producing wine after setting up a winery in the premises that once housed a business processing cherries in alcohol. Now the grapes from the vineyards located in the Gussago area are processed here.
These vineyards are mostly terraced and from 2005 onwards have been restored and replanted. Others are bordered by typical broli (stone walls). The higher percentage of Pinot Noir in the vineyards compared to the grapes normally found in Franciacorta vineyards, is due to the particular microclimate that is influenced by the confluence of breezes coming down from Val Trompia and Valcamonica. The latest vines planted in the highest part of Campiani are for Pinot Bianco.
