La Fiòca is located in Corte Franca, one of the major centres for the production of Franciacorta wines, near Lake Iseo. The climate in this area is mild and the soil is fertile. The land, facing south, has a crescent shape, once interpreted as a scythe, which in the local dialect is called Fiòca. Hence the name of the company, whose headquarters are located on a hill in a centuries-old park.
The grapes that are turned into wine, from the estate vineyards, are of the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc varieties. On the estate, work is all about passion, love and attention to every detail, and this dictates a strict selection process, which starts in the vineyards. The care of the fields and the decision to produce low yields guarantee a high-quality raw material from which, with gentle crushing, only the most valuable must is extracted.
