Monte Alto is a small artisan business that was created from a passion for wine, for the land and for viticulture, together with a desire to develop a natural and unmanipulated product. The winery is located in Clusane and cultivates 3 hectares of vines planted with Pinot Noir grapes and black grapes for red wines. The decision to use Pinot Noir as the main grape for the composition of the Franciacorta cuvees is the basis of the winery’s oenological style, which, by using this grape variety, aims to express the unique features of the local area.
The company was founded in 2014 when Alberto decided to realise his lifelong dream of starting his own winery in Franciacorta. The production of Monte Alto is entirely artisanal and based on maximising the value of this small piece of land on the slopes of Monte Alto.
