The Vigna Dorata brand was established in 1995 when the company’s first bottle of refermented wine, was officially produced. The winery’s vineyards are located on the first moraine hills of Franciacorta, in a beautiful sunny position. The vines extend over 8 hectares and are mainly cultivated with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties following an organic viticulture model. Annual production is 65,000 bottles.
The name Vigna Dorata (golden vine) comes from the golden colour of the vines at certain times of the day. At the centre of the estate stands the family farmhouse, which is surrounded by the winery with its vinification and storage areas. The farm is medium-small winery that devotes itself to increasing the standing of the terroir of Franciacorta. The winery’s philosophy combines tradition with innovation. Delicacy, persistence, structure, desirability and balance are the hallmarks of Vigna Dorata and its products.
