The Lantieri winery is located in the historic centre of the medieval village of Capriolo. The vineyards extend partly around the winery and partly on the slopes of Monte Alto, in an area of Franciacorta that includes different soil compositions, an element that can significantly influence the quality, structure and aromas of the wines produced. Franciacorta Lantieri wines are produced exclusively from grapes harvested by hand in the winery’s own vineyards, which extend over 22 hectares and are all cultivated according to organic methods.
The Lantieri de Paratico, a noble and ancient Brescian family, have roots in Franciacorta dating back more than a thousand years. The noble suffix ‘de Paratico’ indicates their previous settlement in the village of the same name in the province of Brescia, on the border with Lake Iseo. In the 16th century the family moved to Capriolo, where it continued the winemaking tradition and where the company is now based. The company philosophy, inspired by quality optimisation and product integrity, combined with tradition, passion and renewal, are the values that have earned this winery prestigious awards. The estate also includes the Corte Lantieri agritourism farm, an elegant result of skilful renovation, with rooms for overnight stays, places for lunch and dinner, and slopes overlooking the vineyards and old village.
