Spensierata is a winery founded in 2003 and located in the Monterotondo countryside. It is entirely family-run and produces organic wines as well as growing fruit, flowers and vegetables in the farm vegetable plot. Its 16 hectares of land produce 25,000 bottles a year.
The name Spensierata (carefree) stems from the owners’ way of appreciating Franciacorta. Spensierata is the image of elegance, delicacy, simplicity and transparency. The winery’s vineyards are scattered over areas of Franciacorta that are very different from one other in terms of microclimate and soil, a factor that makes it possible to have different types of bases and produce authentic wines. The winery’s aim is to respect the soil as much as possible, avoiding unnecessary stages that involve agricultural machinery or man. Every intervention is important, as is its timely execution.
