The winery of the Rizzini family, with Natale, who started the business, and Gianpietro, his son who has followed in his footsteps, is a small, family-run affair. It is a winery in a villa, which is reached along a road that climbs through the hillside terraces of Gussago. The land is characterised by clay-calcareous soil and is exposed to both sunshine and constant breezes. The garden vineyard is cultivated with the utmost care, as is every phase of the production of Franciacorta DOCG wine, which began a dozen years ago.
With the motto of “#vedicosabevi” (you see what you drink), the Rizzini family takes visitors on walking and tasting tours through the vineyards that surround the small, terraced hilltop winery where their Franciacorta DOCG rests for at least 30 months. A pinot noir vineyard has recently been planted on the same hillside, which completes the range of grape varieties.
