The Il Dosso winery was founded in 1997 by Luca Archetti, who wanted to make his father Augusto’s dream come true, as well as that of five generations of winegrowers.
“Nature has its own rhythms and they must always be respected,” Luca often repeats. This is principle which underlies the company’s philosophy: no excessive correction in the wine cellars but meticulous, verging on the obsessive, attention to detail in the vineyard. It is careful, constant work on our roots which is the cornerstone of authentic and essential wines, getting the best out of each individual grape variety in full respect for its identity.
Tasting is the heart of the estate’s identity, an experience designed to introduce wine lovers to our universe, our wines, under the guidance of the Archetti family. The Il Dosso wine cellars are an early 20th century farmhouse where guided tastings can be booked every weekend.
Vertical tastings are also held at intervals through the year, in addition to the classic weekend tastings, as are blind tastings and themed events designed to offer ever changing, in-depth and engaging experiences.
