“Franciacorta is not simply an area. It is also a method, a wine, a passion. The passion which led founder Marcello Monzio Compagnoni to move his family winemaking business from Bergamo to Franciacorta in 1994 and take on a fresh challenge: making Millesimato Franciacorta DOCG. Our estate is located in Adro, in the midst of Franciacorta’s wonderful hills, in the heart of the region and a fully restored 15th century farmhouse.
It is now considered one of Franciacorta’s most dynamic wine estates. We have now been producing wine here for thirty years on the basis of research, expertise and passion, the modern, pragmatic mindset of our oenologist Dr. DONATO LANATI and our ability to carve out an important space for ourselves in the wine world.
Our current winemaking capacity is 21 hectares of vineyards around our farm, of which 65% is planted with Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir. This enables us to produce around 220,000 bottles per year, a figure which will rise to 250,000 in 2023.
Our Cuvée alla Moda, I Millesimati and Riserva collections are the very best of the estate’s unmistakeable style and tell a story of success achieved with an unrivalled dedication across the whole of the Italian wine world.”
