This historic winery is located in the centre of Cellatica, at the foot of the Campiani hills that surround the city of Brescia to the west. It was built in the early 19th century by Baron Ottavio Boroni. Large wooden barrels were once lined up under the large vaults. After acquiring ownership in the early 1960s, the business was developed by the Milesi family, wine growers and merchants for generations. Giovanni, after whom the company is named, has been flanked for some time by his son Alessandro, who renewed the cellar equipment and personally supervised restoration of the vineyards. The winery has in all about fifteen hectares, mostly located on well-exposed terraces and calcareous soils.
