In 1977, Vittorio Moretti founded Bellavista, making it one of the most prestigious wineries in Franciacorta.
The name comes from the hill on which the estate stands, surrounded by the beauty of a landscape overlooking the lake, the plains, and the nearby Alps, nestled within the charm of a morainic hillside amphitheater. Bellavista is synonymous with elegance and refinement, with a passion for a land that creates wonders: Franciacorta.
Bellavista’s philosophy is rooted in meticulous precision, simplicity, and a close bond between people and the land. Every detail is carefully attended to, and every gesture — even the smallest — is considered essential. Today, Francesca Moretti, the family’s winemaker, supported by Richard Geoffroy, leads the team of vineyard and cellar technicians. The guiding principle remains the same that inspired her father Vittorio over the years: “Excellence is a goal to be pursued every day, achieved through the craftsmanship of gestures, consistency in production, and a deep adherence to the founding values of an enterprise. Our work is not only about producing wine, but about telling the story of the women and men who tend the vines each day, of a land that demands much and gives much in return, of a nature that renews itself with constancy and determination, of a utopian dream that has become reality.”
