For the Savoldi family wine has always been about sharing and joy and most of all about passion.
And it is precisely when fantasy meets real life that dreams come true: Pietraluce, a young family-run wine estate melding passion, respect for nature and the pleasure which comes with making an exciting wine.
The estate’s name – Pietraluce means light stone – sums up the project:
Pietra Preziosa – precious stone – represents the Earth, a precious thing to be looked after and respected. This is why the vineyard and winemaking philosophy is non-invasive, highly technological and modern.
Luce – light – is the culmination of all this work, a glass of Franciacorta, brilliant, sparkling bubbles.
The Savoldi family’s aim is to establish their own style, one which will be recognised and remembered through the years in their Franciacorta. The Pietraluce style means believing deeply in 100% Chardonnay, whose style and clarity the family love. A further distinguishing feature is the low sugar dosage in all its Franciacorta types togehter with long ageing for great authenticity and expressivity.
