Franciacorta once again takes center stage at the Emmy Awards, marking its fourth consecutive year as the official sparkling wine of the prestigious event. This year, new collaborations will highlight the fusion of Italian culture and excellence with the global television industry.
The 76th Emmy Awards will take place on Sunday, September 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast live on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT. In Italy, the event will be aired on Sky Italia at 2 a.m. CET on Monday, September 16. Following the awards ceremony, the exclusive Governors Gala will gather stars and television personalities to celebrate the evening’s winners.
This year, Franciacorta will not only be present with the customary Franciacorta Bar, offering Governors Gala guests the opportunity to taste different Franciacorta styles and selections from various wineries, but will also introduce two important novelties that highlight the connection between Italian art, culture, and gastronomy.
The first new addition is the extraordinary presence of Miriam Leone, the renowned Italian actress and ambassador of “Made in Italy,” who will be Franciacorta’s special guest at the Emmy Awards and at key events leading up to the Awards night. Her participation underscores the importance of showcasing Italian excellence abroad, not only in the enological field but also in the television and film industries.
For the first time in the history of the Emmy Awards, an Italian chef, Augusto Pasini, will be preparing a special dish for the Governors Gala. Pasini, a celebrated chef from the Franciacorta region, will craft a menu that reflects the culinary heritage of the region, paying tribute to Italian gastronomy with flavors that tell a story of art and passion.
“We are proud to represent Italy at the Emmy Awards once again,” said Silvano Brescianini, President of Consorzio Franciacorta. “With Miriam Leone and Augusto Pasini, we are showcasing Italian excellence in every form—wine, food, cinema, and television.”
Franciacorta will also host several exclusive events leading up to the Emmys, starting with a private dinner on September 12, and concluding with a masterclass on September 16, aimed at sommeliers from Michelin-starred restaurants across California. Both events will take place at Angelini Osteria in Beverly Hills, offering guests a deep dive into the history and craftsmanship behind Franciacorta wines.
The Franciacorta Bar is also featured at other key Emmy-related events, including the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which honor those working behind the scenes in various technical and creative roles, and the Performer Nominees Celebration on September 13, dedicated to actors and nominees.
As one of the most prestigious events in the television industry, the Emmy Awards celebrate the year’s top achievements and performances, attracting a global audience and drawing some of the biggest names from film and theater.
