Cheers • Franciacorta shines once again on the Emmy® Awards stage

16 January 2024

For the third consecutive year, the Brescian Docg is the Official Sparkling Wine at the most important awards ceremony for American television

On 15 January, the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles hosted the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, postponed for almost four months due to strikes involving Hollywood screenwriters and actors. Owing to the renewed partnership with the Television Academy, the winners of the famous statuette celebrated their achievement in the Franciacorta Bar at the Governors Gala, an exclusive after-party reserved for celebrities from the international television scene. Glasses of Italian wine accompanied the dishes prepared by top American celebrity chefs – Jet Tilla, Sherry Yard, Rose & Warren Schwartz and Rachel Haggstrom.

For the third consecutive year, the Brescian Docg was chosen as the Official Sparkling Wine for all the events revolving around the main ceremony, from the Emmys Golf Classic – a charity tournament supported by the Television Academy Foundation – to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, established to acknowledge the technical and artistic merits of those working behind the scenes.

The Franciacorta Bar also stole the show at the Performers Nominees Celebration, for actors, producers, screenwriters and directors who were nominated for the prestigious award, including Italian actresses Sabrina Impacciatore and Simona Tabasco. But there’s more: because Franciacorta had the opportunity to invite to this celebration some renowned Italian artists who call Los Angeles home and continue to represent our country in the world: amongst them, actress and digital creator Marta Pozzan, dancer and choreographer Giuseppe Giofrè, and model Natalia Bonifacci. World-famous stars such as singer-songwriter Patricia Manfield and actress Brandi Cyrus joined the already acclaimed array of participants to testify to Franciacorta’s commitment to promoting border-free art and culture.

Franciacorta chose as its special guest Hart Denton, the talented American actor known for his performance in the series Riverdale but also an aspiring film director. The delightful summer holidays just spent in the area played a role in convincing the young American idol of the value of the many settings offered by the Franciacorta territory as the ideal location for a future film. A superb opportunity which would strengthen the presence of the Docg wine in the heart of Hollywood.

The Franciacorta Consortium Chairman, Silvano Brescianini, expressed his great enthusiasm for the continuation of this exclusive collaboration with the Emmy Awards, an extraordinary opportunity for increasing visibility and reinforcing its presence on the flourishing American market. From the other side, Frank Scherma – Television Academy Chairman and CEO – emphasised the perfect synergy with the Brescian Docg, praising the quality of the Italian classic method, fitting for crowning the celebrations of this very special anniversary for American TV.
