Franciacorta continues to conquer the international market with a series of important events celebrating its quality and traditions. This autumn, after Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Region of the Year 2024 was announced, Franciacorta set off once again for the USA and Japan.
Japan is a fixed yearly date for Franciacorta and its wine estates and the customary Franciacorta Day was held on Monday 28 October at the Tokyo Trunk Hotel with 33 firms present, an important occasion to introduce the wines to an increasingly receptive audience. On the day the Franciacorta producers presented their most representative labels to sommeliers, restaurants and wine lovers. The purpose of the event is to promote Italy’s winemaking culture, building a bridge between the winemaking traditions of Japan and Italy.
At the same time in the United States, also on October 28th, Franciacorta participated in the Michelin Guide ceremony in Atlanta, carrying on the important activity with the Michelin Guide USA. During the event, guests tasted and discovered the different types of Franciacorta, while the award-winning chefs toasted on stage with Franciacorta. During the ceremony, Michelin awarded the prize to Atlanta’s best sommelier of the year, sponsored by Franciacorta, to Nàdair’s sommelier, Ashleigh McFadden. Franciacorta is committed to promoting the excellence of its production all over the world, collaborating with professionals in the sector to highlight the uniqueness and refinement of its wines.
The next appointments will be: November 11 in Houston and December 9 in New York.
Today 30 October there will be a Franciacorta masterclass in Tampa Florida held by the Brand Ambassador May Matta. This educational event was organized in the context of the partnership with Michelin for sommeliers of starred restaurants, thus offering participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and taste different varieties of Franciacorta. The masterclass aims to train a new generation of wine lovers and professionals, underlining the unique nature of the product.
With these events Franciacorta is confirming its commitment to increasing world familiarity with Franciacorta, promoting the excellence and passion which are so characteristic of its wine region. “We are enthusiastic about getting our quality and tradition message out in Japan and the United States and we can’t wait to share our winemaking arts with all those taking part”, concludes Silvano Brescianini, President of the Franciacorta Consortium
