Franciacorta: from Tokyo to Miami

8 November 2023

Yesterday, Tuesday 7 November, saw Franciacorta centre stage in two opposite corners of the planet: Tokyo and Miami.

Franciacorta returned to Tokyo for Franciacorta Day as we do every year. The day featured meetings with importers, information-giving seminars and a fun “walk around tasting” at the prestigious Palace Hotel, a chance for 35 Franciacorta winemakers to showcase their products to over 200 sector experts, journalists and wine lovers. Next came an aperitif at Creatta in which 40 guests, including journalists and influencers, found out more about the various types of Franciacorta. The day ended with an exclusive masterclass for Figaro Wine Club members with a special focus on food and wine pairings led by Isao Miyajima, Franciacorta brand ambassador in Japan.

And just as the Tokyo Franciacorta day was drawing to a close, it was gearing up to begin in Miami. After the success of the March festival, Franciacorta decided to return to The Sunshine City with a sector professional event. The Klaw Miami rooftop, with views over Biscayne Bay, welcomed over 150 guests, who found out more about all types of Franciacorta and the best food pairings with May Matta-Aliah, US Franciacorta brand ambassador.

“We are proud to bring Franciacorta’s excellence across the globe, from Japan’s culture to Miami’s energy” commented Silvano Brescianini, the Consortium’s President. “Franciacorta has organised more than twenty events abroad in 2023 and we will continue to work on consolidating our international visibility.”

Yesterday was an especially busy day, then, testifying to Franciacorta’s increasing global importance.
