A historic Franciacorta winery, Monte Rossa was established in 1972 when entrepreneur Paolo Rabotti, with the support of his wife Paola, decided to make a career in winemaking. Today Monte Rossa is run by his son Emanuele and occupies 70 hectares of vineyards with a total production of 500,000 bottles a year.
The different locations and exposure to the sun of the vineyards help to enhance the aromatic quality of the grapes, resulting in cuvées with great structure and complexity. The history of Monte Rossa is characterised by winning decisions, such as abandoning the production of still wines in favour of finding excellence in Franciacorta wines, tenaciously investing in technology as well as moving forward with research and experimentation, the distinctive elements of this winery.
