Corte Aura was founded in 2009 by Federico Fossati who, having grown up in the Veneto region, wanted to realise his dream of producing a quality wine in an established wine-growing area.
The first production was made possible by a fortuitous meeting between Pierangelo Bonomi and Federico Fossati. Today, the winery produces over 100,000 bottles and can count on vineyards located in several Franciacorta municipalities. The symbol of Corte Aura is the tortoise, an emblem of slowness and extraordinary longevity. The winery has chosen to extend ageing on the lees beyond the minimum times stipulated in the specifications in order to create long-lived and highly expressive cuvées. The long ageing period of over 30 months, even for a Brut, allows the quality of the wines to be expressed to the full.
